Healthy Mocktails
December! A time when everyone wants to overload you with food, chocs and booze! YIKES!
However if you want to take a different route this Christmas OR bring in some mocktails into the mix, here are lovely ones (super healthy) to enjoy!
1. Cucumber Mint Cooler
Ingredients:
1 cucumber, thinly sliced
10 fresh mint leaves
Juice of 1 lime
Sparkling water
Ice cubes
Instructions:
Muddle cucumber slices and mint leaves in a glass.
Add lime juice and ice cubes.
Top with sparkling water and stir gently.
Garnish with a cucumber slice and mint sprig.
2. Pineapple Coconut Fizz
Ingredients:
1 cup fresh pineapple juice
1/2 cup coconut water
Juice of 1/2 lime
Sparkling water
Ice cubes
Instructions:
In a shaker, combine pineapple juice, coconut water, and lime juice.
Shake well and pour over ice in a glass.
Top with sparkling water and stir.
Garnish with a pineapple wedge.
3. Berry Basil Smash
Ingredients:
1/2 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
5 fresh basil leaves
Juice of 1 lemon
Honey or agave syrup (to taste)
Soda water
Ice cubes
Instructions:
Muddle the berries and basil leaves in a glass.
Add lemon juice and honey/agave syrup.
Fill the glass with ice and top with soda water.
Stir gently and garnish with a basil leaf.
4. Watermelon Lime Spritzer
Ingredients:
2 cups watermelon, cubed and blended
Juice of 1 lime
Sparkling water
Ice cubes
Mint leaves for garnish
Instructions:
Blend the watermelon until smooth and strain to remove pulp (optional).
Mix the watermelon juice with lime juice in a glass.
Fill the glass with ice and top with sparkling water.
Garnish with mint leaves.
5. Ginger Peach Iced Tea
Ingredients:
2 cups brewed green tea, chilled
1 ripe peach, sliced
1-inch ginger, grated
Honey or agave syrup (to taste)
Ice cubes
Instructions:
In a pitcher, combine chilled green tea, peach slices, grated ginger, and honey/agave syrup.
Let it steep for about 30 minutes in the fridge.
Serve over ice and enjoy!
