Do you (or maybe your parnter or kids) HATE vegetables??
I personally am a HUGE fan and although I’m not ready to become a true veggie yet, I have throughout the years, increased my veg portions on plates, wraps, soups and smoothies!
But I do know of many people who find it hard to eat vegetables and don’t include them in their daily intake.
I encourage all my groups to include veggies AT EVERY MEAL. But there are still those who struggle. SO it really helps to use some tricks and other options if you’re not ready to CRUNCH and MUNCH your way to healthier meals.
Smoothies and Soups are the best option because not only you get to pack in your nutrients, its mega TIME EFFICIENT. I encourage to always cook extra and keep for 2/3 days or even freeze some!
Smoothie Pro Tip - Include more veggies rather than fruit (otherwise easily becomes a sugar bomb) and also ensures its more nutrient dense with vitamins and minerals. Especially the greens x
OK OK not everyone can stomach veg smoothies (let alone KIDS). SO I include avocado and banana ALWAYS. These 2 items plus couple drops of stevia makes it yummy and more likely to keep to it.
Experiment and find one you like!
When you’re young you’re naturally healthier, leaner and stronger and in your prime! and so it's not until you hit ‘a certain age’ that all starts to become challenging.
So with age as you slow down, so does your metabolism! And so the more veggies the better for your health, strength and maintaining lean body mass.
Bottom line?
Including more veggies in your life is CRUCIAL. Whether you drink, slurp, munch, crunch or even ‘down’ a shot of greens haha ! It is necessary for all round health.
It truly is a MINDSET SHIFT though - food is FUEL, food is NURTURING your body and mind.
Take care of yourself remember! There's only one of you in the world!

EASY HACK FOR VEGGIE HATERS
Cut any veggies of choice into similar-sized pieces (I used red peppers, zucchini, sugar snap peas, Brussels sprouts, and asparagus this time).
In a large IKEA FOOD BAG (you can use another lol) , mix all the veggies, 1/4 cup olive oil, and about a teaspoon each of garlic powder, sea salt, black pepper, and fresh chopped rosemary. Then SHAKE RATTLE AND ROLL the bag :)
Empty veggies on a tray lined with foil (for easy cleanup) and bake at 200 degrees for about 25-30 minutes until edges of veggies start to turn brown.
Finally, turn oven to grill and cook for another 2-3 minutes until edges are really crispy. Just watch your clock! Any longer and they will burn.
Bonus tip: while the veggies are cooking, I pan fry some shrimp or chicken and add lemon and lime seasoning (you can also put your choice of meat on a skewer, season, and cook for about 5 minutes per side.)
The above is SIMPLE - I know! and many people reading will think ahhhhhh I have seen / read all of all this before.
However its all about the big 'C' word…..
CONSISTENCY!
