Ok so what does this mean “using source?”
When you come from a place of total desperation into finally grabbing control of your health and fitness, unfortunately for many, the “go to” is usually FORCE.
Forcing yourself to deprive yourself of your fav foods
Forcing yourself to “like” greens
Forcing yourself to do long gruelling workouts
Forcing yourself to eat less
Forcing yourself to do 500 new things in a week
If you are; 35 and over OR battling an auto-immune disease OR currently overwhelmed or burnt out, then adding FORCEFUL things to your day-to-day is going to completely rob you of the little to no energy that you have!
Don’t get me wrong….. giving yourself targets and goal setting rules, counting calories and collecting data etc…. IS SUPER ADRENALISING!
I know full well as I’ve been into sports, dance and later being in the fitness and wellness space for almost 2 decades!!!
HOWEVER
I am a middle-aged mum with her own business and bringing into the mix with my body’s immune system attacking its own thyroid cells and menopause deciding to show up a decade earlier………hmmmmmm
The forceful way NO LONGER SERVES ME.
Forceful workouts and food deprivation just doesn’t cut it!
More still, IT DOESN’T WORK FOR MOST! Regardless whether you are menopausal or not.
Most people I work with are coming from a place of HUGE CHRONIC STRESS, Sleep Deprivation, no libido, NO ENERGY
SO there is zero point in tackling calories and scale readings and collecting more data !
Starting a new intention of living in your mind and body in health and fitness, one that creates a powerful shift that is nourishing and restorative, flowing and full of grace instead of pushing, striving, and depleting your life force to lose weight and get things done IS ABSOLUTELY THE WAY FORWARD!
Using tools and hacks from SOURCES that will give you New Found Energy and Empowerment is the key x
My Mantra in February – hope you make it yours too x
“Give Yourself Grace, habits take time!”
and give yourself a target of 1% a day!
OK so:
How to implement a plan out of SOURCE and not FORCE:
a. BRAIN DUMP: Make a list – ALWAYS make a list lol!
b. Identify the items on the list that you Like / dislike and are those that are in-between.
c. Dreams that scare you / you keep procrastinating on
d. Core Values
Make the changes to your dislikes – I know some things can’t be helped ! But most things can! They come from a long line of habit formation!
BUILD THE 1% GOOD HABIT DAILY AND THE 60% BAD ONES START FALLING RIGHT OFF!
So, back to the list! Gradually keep tweaking this list to ensure you are moulding your day to day IN LINE with your values / likes / dreams and you will eventually start to live a happier more FULFILLING LIFE. And then it is from here – from a place of love and grace and compassion for yourself that you will take care of everything you wanted, or better still…… everything you needed x
Yes Exercise, and Nutrition is important !
But where EXACTLY are you SOURCING it from?
From a place of desperation? Overwhelm? Force, Or HATE?
Or will you SOURCE IT from a new found energy and perspective that will lead you to a HAPPIER, HEALTHIER MORE PEACEFUL YOU?!!
Its your call – your wake up call!
